2020 Internet Futures
2020 is shaping up to be an interesting year. With the Coronavirus in full swing, people are increasing working from home and thus, the internet and its infrastructure is becoming a lifeline for many people and businesses.
However, I do not believe that everyone will change the way they use the internet. Sites like Youtube and Netflix will absolutely become popular but people like people. As the virus subsides, there will be many gaps in the industry and it'll be ripe for new ideas and startups that can help people be people move up.
I think developing projects that help people enhance their life and document their life will increasingly take off, as will AR, VR, AI and Machine learning products. The reason I believe this is because people like change! They love change.
People want something new and exciting. To be different yet not strange. To have something stylish and fun, but also helpful. If you make a new site, the chances of it becoming popular is just as high now, as it will be in one year. Do your product!
